This guide links to the official GitHub release. We do not repackage or host desktop installers. The browser editor on this site uses v0.5.0; check the official release page for newer desktop builds.

Check the download before opening it.
Download SHA256SUMS.txt from the same official release. Compute the SHA-256 of your file and compare the complete value with the matching filename. If it differs, stop and download again from the official source. A matching checksum verifies those bytes; it is not a general security audit.

Use the browser edition for a quick trial without installation. The first load needs network access; file import and export use browser dialogs and downloads. Desktop packages may offer different system features, so check the desktop release notes if you need automation or local app integration.
