PhotoCraft Online Privacy Policy

How this independent website handles browser-local images, website requests, preferences and analytics.

Effective date: 10 October 2026.

PhotoCraft Online independently hosts the open-source PhotoCraft web editor and publishes tutorials. We are not the official PhotoCraft team or Adobe. This policy covers this website; external services apply their own policies.

Images opened in the basic editor

The basic editor runs in your browser through WebAssembly. Local files you open are processed by the browser editor. This site currently does not provide cloud saving, editor image uploads or paid AI processing. Saving and exporting produce browser downloads. Save copies before closing or refreshing the tab.

Local processing does not mean there are no network requests. Your browser downloads website pages and editor assets, and may fetch additional resources or follow links you choose. Analytics and external links are separate data flows.

Website requests and infrastructure

Delivering pages requires ordinary request information, such as IP address, requested URL, browser headers and time. The hosting/CDN provider may process operational or security logs to deliver the site, detect abuse and diagnose failures. We do not use those logs as a cloud copy of your editor document.

Avoid placing private information in URLs or public bug reports. Browser extensions and device administrators may also have access outside our control.

Preferences, accounts and analytics

Your browser may remember your language and editor settings using cookies or local storage. Preferences are not a promise to recover a project. See the cookie policy.

Editing does not require an account. This site currently does not offer paid plans, cloud storage or newsletter signup. Opening an image does not create an account.

We use Plausible Analytics and Google Analytics 4 to understand page visits, referral sources and reading engagement. Both load by default when you visit the website. Analytics may include page URLs, referrers, browser or device information, time on page, scroll activity and the IP address included in ordinary network requests. Plausible does not use analytics cookies. Google Analytics uses first-party analytics cookies to distinguish browsers and sessions. Neither analytics tool sends image files opened in the editor. See Plausible’s data policy, Google’s cookie explanation and Google’s privacy policy for details.

Our contact page lists the support email for website feedback. If you email us, your address, message and any attachments you choose to include are processed so we can read and reply. Email routing may pass through Cloudflare Email Routing and a Gmail inbox. Do not send passwords, tokens, private artwork or client data unless the details are necessary for your request.

If the contact page sends you to GitHub or another service, information you submit there follows that service's policy and may be public. Use the official issue tracker for editor defects, and use email for website copy, links or translation problems.

Downloads, official documentation and community links leave this site. Their operators receive the information needed to serve those requests under their own policies.

Retention, control and changes

We do not retain a server copy of images opened through basic local editing. Downloads remain under your control. Preferences remain in your browser until removed or changed; clearing site data may reset those preferences. The hosting provider handles website request logs; its policies determine how long these are kept.

You can clear cookies and storage and choose not to follow external links. Use the contact information for privacy questions without posting sensitive details publicly. Requests concern data actually processed by us: files never sent to our server cannot be retrieved or deleted there. Email messages can be deleted from our mailbox on request when retention is not needed for support, abuse prevention or legal reasons.

We will update this page when data flows change, including before adding AI uploads or cloud saving. The effective date records the policy version. No security measure is an absolute guarantee; use a maintained browser and keep originals.
